Duplicating a Project
Last updated: October 18, 2025
You can duplicate a Flow project if you need to:
Create a new iteration of a project (such as a new model year of a product) which will share much of the same structure and many of the same requirements as the previous iteration
Take a snapshot of the state of a project at a given time (Note: Flow's baseline functionality may be a better fit for this use case)
Take over ownership of an example project
Duplicating a project will:
Make you the project creator
Reset the created date of each item in your duplicate project to today
Clear all change history and comments for each item in your duplicate project
Invite all of the project members of the original project to the new duplicate
Whilst the Analysis tab of Flow is in beta any analysis models you had in your original project will not be copied over to the duplicate
To duplicate a project, first click on Settings in the bottom left of the sidebar
Scroll down to the bottom of the General tab and type a new name for your duplicated project in the box. Click Duplicate project.
